Sister Shakuntala, a member of Society of the Helpers of Mary for 51 years, died on August 23 at Mumbai’s Holy Spirit Hospital. She was 73. She was buried in Mumbai’s Oshiwara Christian Cemetery on Aug. 24 in the presence of the parish priest and a few nuns. Sister Shakuntala was staying at Ma-Niketan in Thane and nuns there are in quarantine now, Sister Ragina Joseph, secretary general of the indigenous congregation, told Matters India over phone. 1. ડૉ. મનીષ વાલેશ આ વાત શૅર કરવા જેવી છે. હમણાં થોડા દિવસો પહેલાં મને અચાનક થાક અને ઝીણા કળતર જેવું થવા લાગ્યું હતું. શરીર ગરમ નહોતું, પણ મોઢું કડવું-કડવું થઈ ગયું હતું. સાધારણ સંજોગોમાં આવાં ચિહ્નો તરફ ધ્યાન પણ ન જાય, પણ આ કોરોનાના માહોલમાં તરત આપણે એલર્ટ થઈ જઈએ. Dolo 650 નામની ટેબ્લેટ્સ લીધી. દિવસ દરમિયાન ફરક દેખાય પણ સાંજ પણે એટલે પાછું ઝીણા તાવ જેવું લાગવા માંડે. બે-અઢી દિવસ આ રીતે અવઢવમાં ગયા પછી લાગ્યું કે કોરોના માટે વેળાસર ટેસ્ટ કરાવી લેવી જોઈએ. લેબોરેટરીમાં ટેસ્ટ કરાવવા માટે પહેલાં ડૉક્ટરનું પ્રિસ્ક્રિપ્શન જોઈએ. ડૉક્ટર પાસે જતાં પહેલાં વિચાર આવ્યો કે લાવને, સરકારી હેલ્પલાઇન નંબર 104 પર જસ્ટ ફોન તો કરી જોઉં. કશી જ અપેક્ષા વગર નંબર જોડ્યો. સામે છેડે તરત ફોન ઊંચકાયો. મહિલા રિસેપ્શનિસ્ટે નમ્રતાપૂર્વક બીમારીનાં લક્ષણો વિશે બે-ત્રણ સવાલ પૂછ્યાં, એડ્રેસ નોંધ્યું. પછી કહ્યું, ‘તમારે કોરોના ટેસ્ટ માટે ક્યાંય જવાની જરૂર નથી. અમારી મેડિકલ ટીમ તમારા ઘરે આવીને ટેસ્ટ કરી જશે. બે કલાકની અંદર તમને ફોન આવશે. તમે ફોન ઉપાડજો ને વાત કરી લેજો.’ એક કલાકની અંદર જ 104 હેલ્પલાઇન યુનિટમાંથી ફ...
